Ministries of Fifth Avenue Community Church
Souled Out Youth
We have a active youth group which is led by Branning Street. They meet on Wednesday's nights at 6:30pm in the youth center on the second floor of the church.
Freedom from Addiction
Freedom From Addiction Recovery Ministry was established at Fifth Avenue Community Church
on June 7, 2002. FFA is currently the fastest growing ministry at Fifth Avenue.
It has been recognized by local prison system officials as one of the most
effective programs in the Youngstown area for recovering addicts. Meetings are
held every Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm in Room 102. Transportation may be
provided on a limited basis. One-on-one meetings are by appointment. This
ministry is dedicated to the conviction that God has an answer for every
addiction through Jesus Christ. FFA does not focus on the addictive behavior,
but on the belief that a person who understands who they are in Christ will not
engage in self-destructive addictive behavior as a lifestyle. Freedom is a
birthright of a child of God. Jesus came to set the captives free. Revelation Room
Our church library is the newest
ministry of Fifth Avenue Community Church. It has books for children, and teens
as well as for adults. The library has fiction and non-fiction titles. It
also has bibles and bible commentaries. The library is in Room 203 and it is
open on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:00 pm and for an half an hour on Sundays after
the church service.
"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do
not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery."
